Back in the 70’s I had a surveying job while in college. Best job ever…got to hire a friend of mine to hold the rod and we got to make our own sign! We decided on “Men in road” because “Men working” did not strike the right chord.

Yes, if you see that sign, you are required to stop immediately, take the keys out of the ignition and torch the car.
