The forum is optimized for images 690 (horizontal) x 500 (vertical).

If you upload a larger image (in #pixels), it may show only a partial image, or a reduced size – in which case a reader can click on the image to show it full size.

In terms of memory size, any image over 1 Meg will be shrinked to 1 Meg, but the pixel count will not go down.

Awesome! There are other sites like it, but I tend to use PicResize.com. You can enter the exact horizontal/verical pixels. Save it in any format you want, then boom, you’re done.

Best use jpg for a format, it saves space, which costs us money!
