Clean up on the go: what we do is that can carry wet wipes around with us, it works quite well! We hydrate the wet wipes more by adding some water into the container. Sometimes you need to use a couple. You only need to use them if you have sugar on your hands – the rest of the time, no need. Our experience is that a little grime does not really matter 
We typically choose a form factor for the wet wipes where they are folded into a smallish plastic box, rather than being stored in a cylindrical canister.
We keep some in our glove boxes at all times, as well as in our backpacks when we travel.
