Sunday it is then. I’ll be in need of a run after 4 hours in the car with my loving family. To be fair, they’ll need one after 4 hours in the car with me…
Got my run done.

RPE 6 in the beginning. Lower body felt like a rock. Started picking up around 2.5-3 miles in and the rest was about a 5.
Heading out for a nice long car ride in some scenic traffic. For a little “no pinched nerve” luck.
Thanks, Nickey, for these details. Okay, it sounds like we are on the same page with our techniques These days I use Loop, but I sometimes also will do a bolus with about 1 miles to go, too, to head off an expected post-run spike which may or may not occur! Even if it doesn’t I will have the bolus active for expected refueling of a Boost.
Yes, me, too! I’m on 50% right now for several hours post run and still running low, 50-60s This doesn’t often happen but for some reason it is happening today Just had FIVE cherry tomatoes!
This all makes sense. Early on your body was probably stiff and sore from the speed yesterday which you were not used to. And then once you got warmed up and your body was used to the intervals, it was easier.
Good stuff this week. 9 mph, a long run with 2.5 miles at 7.5 mph, a nice tempo run. Real good stuff. Enjoy your vacation!
@ClaudnDaye, something tells me you’ve battled with your croissant demons, too the way you nailed that “easy, medium, and hard” breakdown the last day of your schedule. Your schedule, by the way, cracked me up. Yours would’ve, too, @Eric, if I didn’t already know you don’t joke around about running.
@T1Allison, let people giggle or fall down in laughter. You just keep doing what you’re doing, baby giraffe. I was at my son’s tournament yesterday talking to another mom, and we were talking about our exercise routines, and she says, “so you’re a runner?” No one has asked me that way yet. People always say, “so you run?” But she asked it just like that, and after about a 4 second hesitation, I said, “yes, I’m a runner.” But I haven’t always been… not long ago, I was just a baby cow learning how to run.

At mile 4.48, power cut off in house. Came back on maybe 10 seconds later. Had to turn on treadmill and get speed back to 7.5 for the last mile. I think I was stopped for maybe a minute and a half. Bummed because I was going into the last mile feeling strong. But that happened… so feels like I landed a break.
