You can refill the Kwikpen and Kwikpen Junior pens.

@Eric My concern would be contamination of the refilled container, though its very possible I’ve bought in to a possibility vice a probability. BTW, the reference post got me to retrieve a used Novolog Flexpen (has the same visible screw mechanism) from the trash/recycle and try to reverse the direction. Apparently Nordisk has “improved” the design and it locks the pen with the screw fully extended. No pressing or turning in the counter-clockwise direction did the trick. I tried pulling and prodding the obvious different parts of the Novo Flex, but no joy. I’m sure it’s “press fit” together and despite the pushing, pulling, and bending I tried, it would not yield. Thought I’d check in with others here to see if the “how” is known. I can break into it later to see if needed and later use if my pen supply becomes less affordable. I’m sure it’s something simple associated with the clicking felt/heard when selecting a dose or filling a pod from the pen. Anyone know?

As far as I know, I don’t think it can be done with any of the Novo pens. Only the Lilly (Kwikpen) versions.
If you use an alcohol wipe on both your insulin vial and the top of the pen, and you use a new syringe, I personally think the risk of contamination is not something to be concerned with.
But everyone here should balance the risk and reward to their own comfort level. If someone is concerned with it, then they should just buy new stuff instead of reusing.
