The difference competent caregivers make

Here is a rough breakdown of our stats over the last week, when FINALLY the daycare caregivers who are trained in diabetes management came back from vacation:

And here is what it was like when no one was trained to treat Samson’s lows and I was relying on frantic text messages to get them to treat:

The main difference is obviously way, way more time spent int he “urgent low” category. Clearly, having good caregivers matters. It makes me wonder how many kids could be better controlled at school if their teachers/nurses were more adept.
