Service converting G6 transmitter to restart with user-replaceable battery

I saw an article suggesting that there are folks who modify the 8Hxxxx and newer
transmitters, giving them user-replaceable batteries, and enabling them to again send raw data for xdrip+, and enabling them to run extended sensor sessions without restarting the sensors.

I have no information about whether these modified transmitters are actually good. Certainly one could get in trouble by running a transmitter or sensor beyond the time it is guaranteed by the manufacturer to be safe.

Interesting. May give it a try once there are more details on availability, assuming I still have my old dead transmitters.

In US, only 80, early 81 transmitters could be reset. They mention 8G (firefly). If I recall, 8G could run until battery died, if used with xDrip, but not days reset.

Has anyone tried Anubis? It sounds interesting…however, could we still use the Dexcom app on our phone or the Dexcom receiver? I’m simple and basic, and use only the Dexcom App on my phone and the Receiver as a backup.
