I can absolutely run conditional polls. This is how we registered people for the nonprofit I used to work for. I did them using Google Forms. @CatLady said there is no way to to that on this forum, but honestly I thought her poll was great and got me what I wanted, which is the ensuing discussion here about what people are using for AID. Thanks everyone for weighing in – let’s keep the conversation going!
I use Medtronic 780G with the Guardian 4 (soon to be Simplera) sensor. The AID mode is called Smart Guard and I run it about 97% of the time. I do bolus for meals, but I know people who don’t because they eat super-low carb and the pump can keep up with that. I was on the TSlim and Dexcom systems from whenever Animas went out of business until February of this year. I prefer the Smart Guard to Tandem’s Control IQ.
I think I used the cleo for a while, and the trick was after inserting continue pressing the inserter down for a full 10 seconds. The adhesive was heat-activated, and it needed time for the body to warm it up before it would bond with the skin.
My solution to the Cleo problem has been to modify the cassette change process. I follow twiist’s routine up to the priming. Before priming I apply Skin Prep, wait a few seconds, then apply Skin Tac. That’s when I begin the priming. After priming I attach Cleo. Like you, I could run through 7-8 failed attachments before one would stick. I haven’t had one failure since (jinxing myself). The priming time is long enough that I don’t get in a hurry and Skin Tac has plenty of time to dry.
I agree, twiist isn’t perfect. I really like the version of Loop they’re using. My TIR is much better than it was on Omnipod 5. I can take or leave the physical pump and would change in a minute if there were a FDA approved Dash with LOOP loaded.
I just started using twist about a month ago. I use a skin tech that’s how I was trained. I’ve had a couple cannas infusion attachments come off one just fell off one got pulled off when I pulled my pants down so I’ve had to put a new cannula in and actually get replacement cannulas.
