Bolusing while sick question

I have a friend who was actually an officially paid quality control tester for Gatorade (Quaker). For real. lol.
The test is to slowly tilt it upside down then slowly tilt it right side up. If you see any “floaties” then it is bad. If not then it is good.

Very technical - I know.

I agree. We are often left with diet sodas after family reunions, they die off very fast. I don’t find that true for regular sodas.

Great! I’ll have to pick some of that up. Hopefully with how slow you sip on things when sick, it wouldn’t be too many carbs at once.

For us, with the degree to which the BG seems to go up all by itself, I find the 13g carbs per 20 oz bottle to be irrelevant. We don’t even dose for it.

I figure the 120% ~ 150% basal increase and the extra 1 ~ 1.5 units bolus per hour probably will pick up the G2 on the side.

lol

Usually first sign my T1 is getting sick is BG getting stuck high (>300) for no reason and for which a normal correction seems ineffective.
