Just saw this on Diatribe regarding an effort to try to stimulate growth of Beta cells: https://diatribe.org/clinical-trial-tests-new-technique-stimulate-beta-cells?omhide=true&utm_source=diaTribe&utm_campaign=28de88a66c-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_05_16_23_COPY_01&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_22467a8528-28de88a66c-154610522 While the current study is aimed at Type 2’s, FDA apparently has approved a Phase 2 study in Type 1’s called “Covalent-112”. Results are a ways off and the article doesn’t indicate how they hope to avoid the autoimmune impacts, probably won’t be of use to me (too old), but for some of you younger folks there’s hope of another angle of treatment!
