Could someone please help enlighten my addled, sick brain about why acetaminophen is not a good option? Is it that it actually spikes the blood sugar or that it prohibits the CGM sensor from taking accurate measurements?
I know Ibuprofen is fine to take, but I could sure go for some Nyquil right about now.

The problem I have with CGM accuracy is - I suppose from what they tell me - my body tissue is not very conducive to using the sensors.
They (the Dexcom support peeps) always ask me if I am lean. Since they always ask that question, and it’s not because they are trying to hook up with me on Tinder, I guess it is a known issue for Dexcom users.
Would an implanted one make a difference? Do they put it in deeper so it gets to body tissue that is more conducive to CGM use…
I am curious if anyone has a good sense of how well expired sensors work, and what their effective duration truly is. I don’t mean how many days they can function when used but how many months past their due date they can be used with good expectations.
What I know:
Many of us routinely use sensors that have been expired for a few months
Dexcom does not replace expired sensors that malfunction, but rarely asks.
