I was recently diagnosed as T2, after being admitted to the hospital with a reading over 1000. The official diagnosis was Diabetic Ketoacidosis without coma (I actually had neurological symptoms). Prior to this hospitalization, I was told by doctors that I was “pre-diabetic” and never advised to test.
