Prepare the gel packs the night before. Don’t rush it. They need a full 6-8 hours to freeze properly. I made that mistake once and ended up with room temperature insulin halfway through the flight. Never again.

Safe travels! Many people in the diabetes community like using insulated travel cases or cooling pouches designed for medications when they are on the go. It is also common to keep insulin in your carry on during air travel rather than in checked baggage. Wishing you a smooth trip.
