We’re at our small cabin (real logs) near Berkeley Springs for the wife’s and my 47th anniversary and New Years! It’s been extremely cold (7 degrees with wind chill factor, with near constant heavy winds). The power went out last night (downed trees) at ≈3am (yes, we have a generator to run the stove, but I didn’t want to get up at 3am in the cold). This was one of those rare longer outages due to the number of outages. Yesterday Sheelah was zooming. She flew past me when I was pedaling and ripped a 1" tear across a finger. I let out a scream, it really hurt. She ran off and was being uncharacteristically quiet. I got the bleed to stop and washed clean using liquid bandage to cover it. All day today she has been really sweet. Was talking on the phone with my sister who has her grandson while mom is on a cruise. He spent a lot of time decorating Andy and Percy the cats’ tree. Here’s the finished product. Cold day, nice day, it doesn’t matter! Though you’d think our Sullivan was cooking himself to nice medium rare…being a “marmalade” cat to begin with, he sometimes looks like he’s on fire! BTW, nice surround, I like wood! ---
