I forget when but Tandem has had connectivity with the G7 15 day sensor for some time now. Perhaps this email was to introduce their new app which reminds me of “Clippy.” I don’t think I want this on my phone.

This is the “Happy Bob” app that’s been around for years.

Does this include the Mobi pump too? My Endo told me recently that was not the case.

I have to correct something, the email is not from Tandem but from Dexcom. Sorry about that. It has a picture of my pump so I assumed (we all know what that means) that it was Tandem.

Text from the email:

> Great news—Dexcom G7 15 Day (ages 18+) now connects with the Tandem t:slim X2 insulin pump, expanding your options for how you manage diabetes.\* It also connects with the iLet Bionic Pancreas and Omnipod® 5, giving you more ways to find the setup that fits your lifestyle.

> Stay tuned for compatibility news on the Tandem Mobi system with Dexcom G7 15 Day, coming soon!

I installed it (Happy Bob, not Tandem) because it was free and I figured it might have, “Grumpy Bob”, which would be more my style. Alas it asked me to “Create Account” and wouldn’t do anything else. It also has “in-app purchases”, Dexcom patches maybe?

EDIT: here’s the user manual for those who want to check it out without the bother of download/delete:

> **[User manual | Happy Bob](https://happybob.app/user-manual/)**

It looks like for Dexcom it connects over the internet, which would not be very appropriate for a device running on the same 'phone as the app whose data it is reading (very indirectly). Source code is proprietary (“Harold Al Oy”) so it can’t be hacked to communicate with xDrip+. Pity, I might be tempted. Even better connect to the app which does the predictions (AAPS in my case) and read the predictions. Most likely AAPS does not support that, but if it did:

“Hey dude, this is the best roller coaster I’ve ever been on, but I’m going to vomit if we don’t get off soon.”
