Any insulin will work with with any diluent. I have had great success using diluted pens. The Luxura pen cartridges are easy to refill.
Not sure if you saw this, I have posted it here on FUD before. Alex O’Meara wrote an article on diluted insulin and pens, and used my picture of my diluted pen.
We had a high number of pump site failures in the beginning with my daughter.
Since using a stricter easy to remember system it has been much better. RightArm, RightLeg, LeftLeg, LeftArm then rotate pump 180 for next cycle of 4 placements, RA,RL,LL, LA This gives the sites a break and is something my wife and I can easily remember and follow. In summary anticlockwise direction for new pumpsite and rotate omnipod when moving between arms (north, 12:00 whatever)
We also give 0.2u just before pump change and 0.3u just after pump changes.
Doing these additional steps has really minimised our “pump site failures” - I don’t recall the last one.
