There was an old thread on this here:

> [@Night basals: higher or lower than daytime?](https://forum.fudiabetes.org/t/night-basals-higher-or-lower-than-daytime/6287):

> a few months ago [my endo and I] jacked my nighttime basals way up – my logic had me thinking that there must be a different issue as there was no way my nighttime basals should need to be higher than my daytime basals, yet they absolutely do. [Mod EDIT: split thread from [How do you use your endocrinologist visit?](https://forum.fudiabetes.org/t/how-do-you-use-your-endocrinologist-visit/6278/21)]

It seems like it varies by person and like you were saying on activity level and if/how much they have eaten.

Are you going low while asleep? Is it a consistent pattern?
