# Omnipod Dash: Filling the pod

Hello! Does anyone know if you can pre-fill a pod? ie: I fill the pod in the morning and then put it on around noon. I didn’t know if the entire process needed to be done at once or if I could have the pod filled and ready to pair with the PDM at a later time.

No, unfortunately you can’t pre-fill them too much ahead of time. After filling it, you have about 2 hours to activate it, or else the pod self-destructs.
