Has anyone gotten a new insulin pump through Medicare in the past month or so? If so, what were the durable medical equipment (DME) requirements?

I got my last pump five years ago. At the time, Medicare paid for it through a standard 12-month rental, and I had to keep the pump for five years. I’ve heard those rules may have changed, or might be changing soon.

Has anyone had a recent experience that was different from the usual process? Or does anyone know whether the rules are changing and what the new requirements might be?

Thanks for any help!

Rick
