# New closed-loop pump system using Tidepool Loop just cleared by FDA

Twiist automated insulin delivery (AID) system made by Sequel Med Tech using Tidepool Loop algorithm with pump technology from Deka to precisely measure both the volume (amount) and flow (speed) of each micro-dose of insulin. Works with “compatible” CGM sensors, but I’m not sure what they are counting as “compatible”.

There’s a lot more insight into this development at diabettech, where they show an already existing medical pump that looks remarkably like the newly-introduced Twiist pump
