I had problems early on in pairing Apple Watch with Dexcom G7. Then my watch would pair flawlessly.

I was late coming home from Easter Vigil Mass and my sensor had expired. Yeah I know, how could that happen with that great 12 hour bonus?

So Mr Morning Person at 11PM needs to install a new sensor. Pump paired perfectly but iPhone and watch did not. When I woke up I started G7 on my phone and this time it went OK, but the watch would give a pair request but I couldn’t OK it.

This was the trouble I had early on with G7. What was I doing not doing?

When I remove a sensor I wrap them in foil. They seem to still be transmitting Bluetooth. Then I delete its code in my phone’s Bluetooth.

In my fatigue I did half of that. I forgot to delete the old Bluetooth pairing code.

The problem is which one. I keep my phone on the Bluetooth screen and finally saw the proper one go active. I deleted the other and Voila! I was able to pair my watch.

BTW A Happy Easter Sunday to all.

Carlos, I think another way to do it is to delete them all and wait for something to ask to pair. I often do that with my phone. I end up with too many Bluetooth Dexcom devices so I delete them all and wait until the device I am using asks to repair. it seems to always take care of itself. I confess I have never done that with a watch, (I still use my watch as a slave to my iPhone) but I think the same principle would apply.

I take a screenshot on my iPhone of the Bluetooth settings. Then when I replace the sensor I know which one is the old one and delete it.

I don’t think it’s important to delete them instantly, but you should not let them stay too long because it confuses the system.
