# Kayak camping: how we ruined a Dexcom receiver

That is exactly what I thought when we left – but that is basically [what we had for the iPhone we ruined](https://forum.fudiabetes.org/t/kayak-camping-how-we-ruined-an-iphone-se-used-as-dexcom-receiver/1448/5) with water vapor 🙂 After trying it, I don’t think going with a fully transparent case works.
