# Is it possible to enter carbs only with no insulin on xDrip+?

I’m asking because one often needs just carbs to get BG up, and I want to keep track of that for my doctor. It seems if I enter a bolus of 0 in those cases (since there’s no insulin taken), then the note doesn’t get recorded.

@Headlands You can’t enter 0, but you could put .01 in and not screw up your data or predictions. Or you could set it up in xDrip+ notes.

Hmm, it seems to work for me? It looks like it will accept a “treatment” as long as either insulin or carb (or both) are non-zero (if both are zero, then the check mark won’t appear). Here’s an example - I am trying different prebolus times so ate the lunch carbs after the insulin, plus the bump a couple hours later.
