I think I’m going to start a new thread about Fiasp. There are a few on Fiasp and they may be over a year or several years.
Yes, I’ve been on Fiasp for two or three years now (since it became available in Canada).
Is it much better than the insulin that you used to use before Fiasp? Is it a game changer?
I was using Apidra before, and Humalog before that. I would say yes, for me it’s a game-changer. But there are others who report little to no difference. For me, it eliminated the need to do any real pre-bolusing (previously had to pre-bolus by 30-45 minutes regularly) and I have far, far fewer “stubborn” highs that persist for hours. I also find suspending my pump takes effect much more quickly than with other insulin. I’m using up some old Apidra and I definitely notice a huge speed difference when I bolus with that (via pen) compared to when I bolus with Fiasp in my pump (or pen).
