Per TCOYD ([https://www.youtube.com/live/7Zfp3-mBBLU](https://www.youtube.com/live/7Zfp3-mBBLU)) it isn’t expected to be available until 3 or 4th quarter of 2025. Lots of questions circulating about it, the video ref’d explains some of it and has various other discussion of expected/seen advances (Dexcom, Twiist, Medtronic’s latest CGM and compatibility, etc.).

Didn’t realize the Dexcom G7 was cleared for 15-day wear. That’s definitely a game-changer for anyone using it. Less hassle with changing it out all the time, but I’m curious if the longer wear affects how accurate it stays.

@Manosphou Just to be clear, the current G7 is not a 15-day device; Dexcom is apparently planning a G7 15-Day device to be available by end of year 2025, currently expected to be in addition to the standard G7 (10 day device). Hopefully Dexcom will attempt to stem any confusion factor! 😯

I predict they will call it the “G7+”. That seems to be all the rage in the unoriginal marketing world these days. It seems to have started with Apple TV+ and now there’s Paramount+, Disney+, and hilariously Tandem Control IQ+. What’s after that, “Tandem Control IQ++”? “Tandem Control IQ+ 2”?
I should have named my kids “Ned+” and “Ned++” 🙂

I thought this interview gave a good overview and answered many of my questions/concerns regarding the 15 day product. Seems like the 15 day G7 will integrate with pumps almost right away. Us Omnipod 5 users might not have to wait for Insulet to manufacture all new pods to use this.
For those paying cash this product would save a lot of money. Two a month instead of three. Plus anytime it doesn’t last the whole 15 days you could get a extra sensor.

The best part is that new sensors take a day or two to stabilize with multiple calibrations so the extended days would provide a longer time of stable bs level readings (if nothing else affects stability on the 15 day).

@Josie, Thanks for posting this! Seems even more info is covered here, than on the TCOYD podcast ([https://youtu.be/ZOkmVadyAcs](https://youtu.be/ZOkmVadyAcs)), although from a Dexcom rep so there’s a positive spin on most issues, but seems more comprehensive in coverage.
