# Dueling health care plans

Looks like Republicans are set to introduce “dueling” healthcare plans.

The current plan being proposed in the Senate seemed to be up against a lot of pushback, so we’ll see if the alternative plan gains traction. Obviously, watching the sausage get made is not pretty, so who knows what will be the end result. Whatever it is, it will need to be approved by the house too to become law.

Giving states the option to do what they want with the Obamacare funding certainly relieves some of my worries (as a person who lives in the bluest of blue states), but I really can’t see how it will be good for people in states like Texas or Oklahoma. And since there are no details available, it’s not clear what’s going on with the Medicaid Expansion.
