# Cool Tech for MDI Patients. Warning - Europe Only -

I can only answer for the Pendiq 2.0, @MisterMints: it requires venting everytime (= priming), so the ventingbdose you do in the venting phase automatically discarded.

Here is an interesting Reddit review of the Pendiq 2.0:

A couple of things I see that are disappointing:

- Bulky and heavy

- Needs user’s manual at hand for use

- Cannot inject less than 0.5 (the +/- 0.1 adjustability is above 0.5).

These look like heavy negatives for me.

It’ll be interesting to see how Novo Nordisk does it with their upcoming NovoPen 5 and NovoPen Echo Plus.

I believe that all pens with 0.5-unit dosing say that doses below 1.0 units are not reliably accurate.

Thanks @Michel that’s really helpful.

I’m currently using the NovoPens so looking forward to seeing what happens with the smart versions of these. Hopefully won’t be long until they are released! 🙂

@Jen, what I meant is that this pen advertizes +/-0.1, which is true, but only if you realize that you can only inject 0.5 or more. You cannot inject 0.1 for instance.
