# Alzheimer's may be caused by herpes virus

Both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes have been linked to Alzheimer’s/ senile dementia. This fascinating study, for the first time, shows a possible causal link between HSV1 (herpes) virus and Alzheimer’s:
